Yeah! We are finally home! On Sunday morning I got the phone call from Jason asking me to come pick him and Critter up from the hospital! The docs had finally decided that even though our ANC wasn't up the rest of our labs were looking great. It turns out that home health can be a little slow on Sundays. So after rushing to the hospital to pick them up we had to wait around for them to give his antibiotics because home health couldn't deliver them in time. So we ended up getting home at around 5:00pm on Sunday. It was marvelous! Critter is doing much better. He is off all of his pain meds and is eating normally again now that we are at home. Maybe its just the mother in me but I think he looks a little withered and weak. This round has been rough and you can tell he has been through the ringer. I am grateful to put the past behind us and enjoy our time at home. ONE MORE TO GO!!!

I'm glad you got to be home for the first week of school. Poor Grace is so overwhelmed because every day is a new person driving or picking up. She needs her mom.
ReplyDeleteHurray for good counts and being home!
ReplyDeleteAll I can say is WOOHOO! Only one more round and you can get back to a "new" normal! Love and prayers to you!
ReplyDeleteJust thnking of you! What a strong little family you are! Home is the best medicine :) You are almost through, just get it done! If he is gettting the Asperiganaze chemo shot this last round I have a little info that helped us out. First have a male nurse give it. They are a little stonger and can push it in faster causing less bruising. It's kinda a thick shot. Second make sure it is not his nurse for the day. Might make the day a little smoother. Other than that it is fast and quick and then you move on. Is his last chemo a split round. 2 days and then 5 off and then 2 more? Just wondering? Have the best time together at home and get those counts up so that you can get home for good. Sending all my love to you and your little fighter!
